Extra Innings offers year round indoor and outdoor professional baseball and softball instruction. Our custom built facility has over 15,000 square feet of practice area to serve all your baseball and softball training needs.
Mike Gospodarek
Mike Gospadarek has been coaching baseball and softball since 1996.
From his beginnings as an assistant in Philadelphia’s Northeast Peanut League, Coach Mike progressed to the world of tournament fastpitch in 2003 as a hitting coach with the Philadelphia Spirit on a U-10 team that went on to become NSA Pennsylvania State Champions, and finish 4th in the PONY Nationals.
Since then, Coach Mike’s teams have qualified for World Series play every year, enjoying numerous successful seasons along the way:
- 2004 ASA and NSA Pennsylvania State Champions (hitting coach)
- 2005 NSA Pennsylvania State Champions (head coach)
- 2007 NSA Pennsylvania State Champions, 7th at NSA World Series (head coach)
- 2008 NSA World Series, Finished 7th (head coach)
- 2009 NSA Pennsylvania State Champions (head coach)
In 2008 Coach Mike’s passion for teaching the game led him to open Extra Innings in Bucks County, PA, the largest, most well equipped and staffed state of the art softball and baseball training facility in the region.
Coach Mike’s students have gone on to all levels of academic athletic success including high school varsity starting positions and NCAA division 1, 2 and 3 scholarships.
His passion for the game and unique understanding of a coach’s critical role in the lives and self esteem of his youth athletes continue to drive his teaching and coaching philosophies.
Janese Davis
Janese Davis has been playing softball on the diamonds of the Delaware Valley since the age of six.
A 1994 graduate of a winning Pennsbury High School softball program, Janese first took the mound in her junior year after a career spent behind the plate.
Her pitching success and overall versatility earned Janese a full scholarship to Philadelphia’s prestigious Drexel University where she graduated in 1999. She still plays in a weekly church league for the Manayunk Crusaders.
Janese has been coaching softball at various levels since 1995, specializing in pitching techniques designed to develop raw talent to the Varsity and Collegiate level. Her students continue to compete successfully at the highest levels of fastpitch softball.
